Daytrading isn't easy, you need a good amount of knowledge and luck (most daytraders won't admit to the second one) in order to make it your full time job. In the late 90s during the dotcom boom, tons of people quit their jobs to daytrade penny stocks, forex, commodities etc. and most didn't do very well.

Also, your taxes will be a fucking nightmare with all the taxable events you rack up even in just one day. Obviously crypto doesn't have this issue but crypto is highly volatile and harder to get a "read" on than something like fiat or commodity.
