Where can I learn about where to buy these shitcoins?

Whenever I google how to buy cryptocurrencies, I only get BTC, ETC and Litecoin from places like Coinbase.

Do you guys buy BTC and then convert to some other currency and then reconvert back to BTC and withdraw as cash? This seems to complicated and there are so many fees with this.

Where can I find how to buy all these random coins that cost nothing without paying exorbitant fees? And what is the best service for doing that?

so what is this whole wallet thing I keep reading. why can't I just put money into coinbase; then convert the money into BTC; keep it in coinbase; convert BTC to cash and move back to bank?

Why do I need USBs that are encrypted and offline and all that, is that what everyone really does? is it that easy to get hacked?

in bitcoin you should be the one in control of your funds. If it's in coinbase they can do whatever they want with it.
If you want to buy and just keep it indefinitely just put the funds in a wallet and make backups, otherwise just leave it online
