srs question guys. talking BTC here. most times I set a stop limit, I buy high and sell low. I feel like I'm setting up my orders to take advantage of market swings, but apparently I am stupid.

You're taking tips from biz. You do know every coin shilled here is someone trying to leave a sinking ship, right?

Stop loss work great if you know how to calculate risk to reward and use/understand chart indicators. Without that knowledge your trading with pure luck rather than looking at potential luck. Just use patience, if you sell at 2700, but back at 2600 - 2625. If buy at 2600 sell at 2700. Can take min, or months, but will give you time to learn techniques without immediate loses
