OP, that's as good (i.e. cheap and efficient) a way as possible if you're buying in using fiat. If you want to avoid reporting the purchase, your best bet is probably to use a goods exchange service like purse.io, or local bitcoin or Craigslist if you have cash and live in a decent size city.
