Sure, those are real problems. But nothing is going to replace btc as a currency, at least not for years. So, buy decred if you think that its advantages will someday overcome bitcoin. (Spoiler: that's not going to happen and you'll end up with your money locked up in a stagnating product)

I think something will one day overtake Bitcoin given how fucking slow it's become and how much better many of the alts are, but that day probably won't be for another 5 years minimum. BTC's showing its age right now, but it's got the eyes of the masses so there's no way it'll move out any time soon

i mean... im not all in on dcr obviously, but the current shitstorm in bitcoin is a testament to the fact that decred solves a real problem (unlike 99% of altcoins) and those problems in bitcoin arent going anywhere.
