Is anyone else concerned with the fact that Steem will inevitably create confusion with Steam. Public awareness and brand recognition is everything. I suspect this simple homophone to be a major growing pain for mainstream adoption especially through word-of-mouth.
Imagine trying to convince a friend or co-worker to invest in Steem. You'll basically be like:
"So yeah there's this great social media cryptocurrency called Steem. That's S-T-E-E-M, not to be confused with S-T-E-A-M the game platform by Valve. But yeah, Steem is really great blah blah blah"
"Okay cool. I'll definitely check it out. So is S-T-E-E-M also made by Valve?"
etc. etc.
We did it, Reddit!
