But DAO wasn't formally verified right? Maybe it would've worked if they had verified it. Obviously you could build a formal verification system on top of eth/solidity, but even with formal verification you won't rule out all errors.

The purely functional smart contract language is what I find the most interesting about tezos, gonna read their whitepaper right now.
Not sure if it's even worth investing in an ICO that's got 200 million usd in it already, though.
