I work in finance and i'm left-wing for machiavellian reasons.

Leftists politicians are easy to bribe and increase regulations/bureaucracy making it easier for my firm to stamp out competition. Not only this but they are anti-startup and small to medium sized business.

Right wing policies would mean we would have to compete and become, god forbid, "nimble". Where I work right now, let's just say there's a few Democrats working ever so hard for our company.
