- VISIT THE WEBSITE FIRST DAMMIT!! - www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
"People" invest your settled funds when you're not using them, just like banks.

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, why?
Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using tradingview.com, stockcharts.com, finviz.com, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

Hey newfriend here, how does market cap affect prices and interest in the stock?
>>
>>2632717
when you have a stock with smaller market cap they tend to be more manipulatable. you think of apple which has a 1 trillion market cap or whatever and then look at mnga which has 8 million. the one with 8 million is likely to have more wild price swings just because its easier to move. im not too good at explaining stuff im kind of retarded.

I used to have more, but I sold some to get into crypto. I expect both to continue rising due to crypto mining suddenly rising sharply in popularity.

Honestly, I'll probably make more off of AMD/NVDA stocks than on actual crypto.

sure thing kiddo. i'm sure they've solved that core-scaling problem too. and the pci-e lanes issue, and they figured out how to support as much memory as ryzen can, and they've found a way to dramatically reduce fabrication costs and improve yeilds to compete with amd.

Nice. ALK is a slow but steady gainer, done nothing but make me money so far. I have 200 shares of LTBR, already bought and sold once for a profit. Rebought lower, hodling. Honestly this company has potential to go to $5, maybe higher. Then I would be banking a nice thou. I hope it becomes the next TSLA. Small long position on NAK.

I think a combo of both F/TA is best too.

Volume/momentum for general direction/strength of trend in the short term; support/resistance (using a bit of moving averages and candle sticks here), along with bollinger bands to help me identify the range in which trading occurs.

"08:35 AM EDT, 06/27/2017 (MT Newswires) -- Spherix(SPEX) Tuesday issued a letter to shareholders explaining a recent acquisition of a controlling stake in Hoth Therapeutics, a company developing treatment for eczema, the skin malady.

Spherix (SPEX) said it is "conscious of the development costs and time associated with bringing new drugs to market and we believe that Hoth will develop" its eczema treatment without additional funding from Spherix(SPEX).

Spherix (SPEX) added, "Hoth anticipates dramatically shorter time frames for FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approval because it...uses a combination of two previously approved drugs."

Spherix (SPEX) on June 20 reported it had acquired a controlling interest in Hoth, no terms were disclosed.

Keep an eye on crude oil, I think west texas crude may have good support at $42, make sure to watch for reports about supply if you're buying into exposure, this could just be a bounce. And if you're buying into exposure right now, expect further dips, and very slow up movement, if any up movement (momentum would seem to indicate the beginnings of up movement but that could be smashed by oversupply)

>>
>>2635202
>>2635205
Yeah, kinda strange how revolutionary improvements in technology and huge efficiencies in the oil industry and diminished competition from OPEC actually caused their stock prices to DROP like %60.

Spot price of oil is based off futures, or what the price should be in 1 month (or so) or what a refinery is willing to pay for crude oil they want to refine next month. Since it's all guesses oil speculators just get lazy, wait for the API to give their inventory report of US storage then kill themselves trying to sell oil stocks.

They don't care care about quarterly earnings or cash flows or anything. It's slightly retarded, I don't understand the sheer amount of money that trades in and out of these stocks based on basically irrelevant data. US frackers sell more oil, investors punish the stock by shorting the fuck out of them.

The other day I looked into $LTBR and everything I read in their own reports seemed pretty shallow. Seemed to be a lot of maybes and idea-flinging. Their fuel rod doesn't look like it could be adopted anytime soon in modern countries and they're not allowed to sell elsewhere. The yield of the mines they own was about two magnitudes lower than the average profitable operation I could find. Am I missing something?
>>
>>2635473
I usually hold through, but I panicked because DCTH had gone down 45% the day before and DXTR was down 10% on the day I sold, I had an exam I wouldnt get out of for 8 hours, so I worried it would go the way of DCTH
>>
>>2635574
>they're not allowed to sell elsewhere.

They got approved for China. China is hugely building infrastx now. Matter of time before it gets adopted. I think nuclear is a good energy source, and it's a good company with a catchy name. Either way, they're far undervalued right now. Recent news with them and presentations, the management is shopping the product around. Trump calls for energy independence. What, you think solar will work for us nationally? Fucking windfarms or some shit? nuclear is the future.

If nothing else, just play the volatility and don't go long.

They're working on it but I wouldn't expect anything soon™. On the bright side, if you deal with a Canadian brokerage, chances are that they would let you open a tax-free savings account if you have any TFSA room left. I won't shill for any of them but you'll easily find the big players with a few web searches. Some of them offer a number of free trades for opening an account with certain promo codes. You'll obviously still want to look at the commission fees.

>>2635665
>I think nuclear is a good energy source
I 100% agree; it's one of the best (if not simply the best) energy source available to us. Mostly clean, cheap and (in modern applications) safe. There is, however, a huge lobby against it as there's lots of money to be scammed out of the public sector through solar panels and windmills.

I hadn't seen the Chinese deal though. I know they got their patent there or whatever but haven't though much of it. Any sources?

For the long run, also consider that China is building _lots_ of electric dams. They're technically solar energy but IMHO are on the same tier as nuclear from a practical point of view. Plus it allows the CCP to fuck with the non-Han minorities which seems to be a national pastime over there.

Still, I suppose it might be worth having a little bit of a position there.

I got bodied pretty hard today. $AMD got cucked by GS. $AVEO went up 9% and washed out a portion of the losses. If you got in when I initially talked about $AVEO you'd be sitting on a 183% return at the moment. $KTOS and $NOK still trading sideways. $KTOS is a legit long play that will be an $80 stock for sure. $NOK is just heartburn until 2018.

I had a shit entry on $NOK and have been bag holding $6.60 for some time, I may just wait for it to get up near buyin and take the loss solely so I can reinvest the funds. This is an opportunity sink for sure.
