I am mining Nicehash with a Gtx1080, 1080Ti and a Ryzen 7 was making about $20+ a day, now its at about $16. I assume the more people coming to the party the less profit opportunity there is.

I probably wouldn't put any money into buying GPUs to mine, I think everyone and their dog has bought every GPU out there (AMD sold out everywhere, NVIDIA soon) soon the profits will slow to a trickle

Short AMD when profitability becomes nothing for mining coins, their stock price has boomed because of this, as you've noticed every AMD GPU is sold out, but it cannot last

I've been feeling similarly. Unless you have thousands of dollars to play around with, I don't see the point behind putting $400 into an RX 480 that's going to take a few months to pay for itself, assuming BTC doesn't tank.
I don't mine 24/7, just when I'm browsing/watching videos which does take up a large portion of my time spent online, and using the LBRY algo doesn't affect my performance a whole lot. It feels nice to make *any* money just doing my regular thing, though it would be a lot nicer if it were above $1.00 daily lol

Buy an X11 ASIC. They're still pretty rare and you'll make a killing on X11 altcoins until production steps up.

DESU you're better off mining not using Nicehash as you'll get paid more, but if you're starting out then go for it.

Like the other guy said, just download Nicehash, enter in your wallet and press go. I had some issues with certain algorithms crashing my Nicehash when benchmarking but I got around that by just disabling them.
