Hey /biz/, pretty clueless about property values
Can anyone tell me why this massive 5 bedroom mansion is only $60,000?
What is the catch?
I thought houses this size usually cost 400K+?
probably forgot a zero
must have a lot of ghosts
weak foundation
Could be a lot wrong with it, or perhaps the area has nothing to offer, such as jobs or "amusement". It also could be weather related.
Might be haunted. I'm half-serious
The floor is made from horse shit. At the time it looked like a good alternative to hardwood, but they did not factor in smell or impact on resale value.
>google Pike Valley School District
It's in the middle of nowhere.

it's in the middle of nowhere fuck land kansas, and it's outdated as fuck. just look at the appliances and cabinets and general decor. everything is made of trash wood and is straight out of the 90s. it's typical boomer trash that was oversaturated in the early 2000s pre-crash, and the boomers selling it have been "bag holding it" ever since. it'll take a lot of money to bring this baby up to market value (which is probably only slightly above 100k), plus there's probably something wrong with it they are not saying until you go see it.

In New England or California maybe. Houses on the Plains don't cost very much.

I wish more real estate agents would talk like this.
Sad.
This house wouldnt be worth 400k anywhere. This is peasant-tier build specs..
>laminate flooring
>refers to 2500 sq ft house as mansion
>cheap stairrailing
>cheap trim everywhere
>shit tier and dated appliances and cabinetry
>shit tier lighting fixtures
>shit tier doors
>shit tier windows
>probably dated and shit tier electrical
>house goes up in flames when you attempt to GPU mine Karbowanec
>or tornado comes through and destroys everything anyway

I still like it an infinite amount of times better than this """modern"""" shit you see on every fucking home program. Even though I prefer 19th century - early 20th century hand crafted wood, which is actually cheaper than IKEA where I live.
