im not that great at giving advice. i mostly trade leveraged etfs which are risky but also rewarding and i mostly trade using technical analysis which has taken me a few years to feel comfortable with. you just have to be patient because its not something that you'll be good at overnight. i'm not a master trader by any means I still fuck up every now again. just don't be emotional and get upset at yourself. were all human we all make mistakes no ones perfect.

How does Robinhood work with brokerage skimming?

I noticed with Vanguard a trade always executes a penny difference, so if the market is selling a stock for $52.43 I can't execute at that price until the market is a penny lower.

Just letting you know, I'm in KR at 22.60, I have some money on the sidelines and I'm waiting for good entries on RAD, CATB, and GSAT.

I can personally recommend swing-trading CATB for around 3-4%, especially for you guys with less than $5,000 at play. It can be somewhat low volume, but if you can get in at 1.30 and hold a sell price at 1.34, you are probably going to get in and out within a 24-hour period for nice babygains.

Thought any ausfags in these threads should know that Stake is doing Robinhood's thing from August 2017, if you're sick of waiting. US shares, no brokerage.

BTW as someone who took a giant fucking hit on DCTH, just stay away. This was back around March, they're a halfway decent organization but they're well into a mini-DRYS autism spiral of reverse splits. You could end up trading in the next MCZ and not even know it before you're basically wiped out.

The best advice I can give to nubs is to follow a half dozen stocks under $10 a share and see if any show mini-cycles where you can swing trade for 2-3% gains.

As a little addendum, I've never gotten locked out of day trades, but I would highly recommend thinking forward on your trades so you never find yourself using your last one. I've been in the position where I've used my first two five-trading-day-period day trades and been at a big loss (around 8% of total portfolio) and used the last one in a panic to secure a meager ~1% gain... I waited a whole week just to get that shit back so I wouldn't get cucked by bullshit. Never back yourself into a corner trying to blindly chase potential gains or make up for losses.
