Yes I have thought about this anon, but the thing is you would have to do this in some absolute shit 3rd world country and in doing so, you'd need to protect yourself from the defacto law which is the rich guy's hired army constantly looking for you.

If you do it in a 1rst world country, they take all that shit way more seriously and here they have actual records, so while they may not come to your house and just kill you like the hitman would, they'll know likely what you did, you'll always be on some goddamn list, and you'll effectively have to live in some second world country the rest of your life or be on the run to make it worthwhile.

Also, you don't get as much money as you think out of this. The more money you hold the ransom for, the more incentive the person has to hire people to both get their kid back, and drive down the cost of the whole thing by killing or catching you.

Ex.

Ultimately, just put that energy into some easier way of making money like crypto, you'll make more money in the long run.
