How do I get into a big finance/banking company in the City (London)?

Funnily enough, I've always maintained I need to develop my IT skills and have a temp IT job with a pretty big company at the moment. Only issue is that im not top brass in terms of education for... reasons.

Several years as a financial analyst then some sort of masters, like an MBA or MSc in Finance and then get your CFA designation at some point during all of that. You'd want to come from a target school as well like LSE.

Lern german and try it in Frankfurt.

At least in germany, a master in finance is not needed if you have a CFA and vice versa.
