Why are there so many buy orders, even 1 unit below the whale's sell price? Wouldn't a huge whale dumping cause everyone to panic, and the price to crash hard?

Forcing bitcoin to jump in price growth may not be the intention (they might just be cashing some out for hookers etc), it's just one of the responses by other traders to take advantage of eth dropping in value.
