Any ideas/tips on some investments I can make for passive income?

My friend is getting involved in cryptocurrency and I said I'd think about investing in it with him, but I'm kinda iffy on it since I don't know much about it.

Literally this OP. Put your money in BTC or ETH and just leave it. When you need to cash out in however long, do so and chances are the value o the investment will have grown a decent amount.

There are risks in every investment. You buy a house, theres a risk it will decrease in value, you buy stocks, or crypto, or gold, theres a chance it will decrease in value. I'm fairly confident about the core coins increasing on the whole (sure there will be dips and peaks, but the trend will be up).

Only other alternative is putting it in the bank and seeing what interest you can get (which at least where I live is pretty much 2-3% max aka sweet fuck all).
