I missed the Waves train, only got into crypto a couple weeks ago after remembering i had $5 lying around in my wallet that i haven't touched since 2014. had around $500 in there after i checked.

From my understanding the ico gives you shares in the exchange. 50% of the fees get distributed evenly amongst the coin holders. The question I have is can the coins be sold and would they have fees associated with trading their own coin since obviously no other exchange would list it.

Don't they have NVOT (token) and the NVOS which get shared trough transaction?
The roadmap suggests you can trade NVOT on exchanges after the distribution.
