You have to do what you think is best.

But in my opinion, ETH is like the Vanguard mutual fund of crypto right now. Lot of moving sideways, occasional jumps, i.e. small incremental gains over time.

I just want to avoid the BTC correction that's gonna come anytime now. ETH moves in opposite direction to BTC my newbee ass would assume.

That's why I said "right now." I don't think ETH will be going up another 300% in a month or two, although 50% is reasonable. But when you could be mooning on shitcoins, that's a conservative investment.

If BTC corrects significantly, ETH will do the same. If you expect that, sit on the sidelines and then buy in cheap.
