market cap is the total value of all the coins. volume is like the amount traded or something. you could have just looked it up on investopedia

Google it. Click on investopedia. Replace shares with coins.

Market Cap is: coin price*number of coins in circulation

Volume is the total value from all the buys and sells within a given period (usually 24 hours), e.g. $20m volume means that is the total value of all the buys and sells within 24 hours.
