What are some promising ones that aren't on any big market yet and aren't on the top 100 of CoinMarketCap?

The ones that stick around stick around. Most won't. Dev teams are your best bet.
Don't look at flashy ex NASA computer nerds, look at dedicated teams of people putting in work week after week, month after month. More eyes looking at the code more often is going to be better than a single genius that can make a mistake every so often
