How many of you /biz/ peeps have started a juice bar? I just crunched some loose numbers and came up with a ridiculous income. I didn't calculate any of my start up costs, only operational costs and produce. I'm not concerned about hard start-up costs since I have the money to cover it without a loan.
I found a great spot on a lake side with high foot traffic. I totally want to open this joint and stop working slave wages.
My questions for you:
What mistakes did you make that I can learn from?
How many drinks did you sell on a good day/bad day?
What was your monthly total revenue without billing and expenses?
How much were/are you paying yourself?
How big is your area?

Here's a pro tip. People tend to greatly over value their profits and under value their costs.

Start up costs are next to nothing. Even if I needed an 80k loan, it would be paid back in less than 2 years at a liberal pay off amount and high interest rate. Start up costs are irrelevant to me since I have the cash anyway. I'm only interested in the monthly income after losses/costs.
