What's stopping people from investing in extremely volatile coins (coins that fluctuate 50% day in and day out) buying low and selling high on these?
If I invested 100 euro on a coin and it increased by 50% over 24 hours does that mean I made 50 Euros by selling it? Or is there something I'm missing here?
loosing
what is 'stopping them' is uncertainty. it could go up 50%, sure, and it could go down 50% as well and never return

Can you actually lose your position? If I invest 100 eur and it dips really low is there a chance I'll lose all that 100 eur?

Low volume. Coin basically dies. I'll let Tyrone explain it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9I-UA4IBOc

So If I buy a million shitcoins and lose $10 are you saying I might not ever be able to exchange them for .005 btc?
Can I get "stuck" with coins?
>in 24 hours
LOL ..NO.
Coins that fluctuate 50% daily don't have a high enough trade volume for you to actually sell 100 eur worth at a profit immediately.. If you buy 100 eur of a low volume coin, the price would likely skyrocket because that's the only way you're going to fill your order.. then it would plummet. and the only way you'll fill the order is by selling LOWER. so, you can't really do this immediately. unless you plan on doing it over the course of a long time. In my opinion, it's poor use of your time and money to invest in low volume coins. This is why people shill coins FYI.. To boost the volume. Especially if it's only traded on one exchange.
