Yea that won't happen.
Crypto is unregulated. Anyone can buy it. There's zero barriers to entry. And that's putting the demand through the roof.
People will keep trading this stuff forever. Until it either becomes illegal or highly regulated by the SEC.

And when do you suppose regulation will start killing it?
>>2129861
I'm surprised regulation hasn't come down harder.
It might take 10 years before major consolidation and regulation chokes it out, like what happens with every industry.
When the masses start involving themselves, they will demand laws and government protection when exchanges go under or their wallets are stolen.

It doesn't matter, nobody controls this. Yeah people use coinbase and whatever for entry, but new methods will pop up. Fully anonymous credit card merchants hosted from who knows where, etc. You just need to enter.

How do you regulate something that's completely decentralised?
>>2129989
You pass laws making it illegal to sell crypto without a license or without a licensed dealer. Exchanges already need to register with FINCEN to let you trade.
Charlie Shrem went to jail for not registering BitInstant with the Feds.
