Bitcoin is worth $1705 atm, yet all the places online I've looked at are charging $1765-6000+. Why are these places charging people much more than the actual current price? Seems like such a scam...
Coinbase Price: 1787 + fees
Bitstamp Price: 1765 + fees
Bitfinex Price: 1794 + fees
Everyone is getting fucked by these exchanges.
How do you decide what is "the actual current price" rather than on the basis of the rate on the exchanges?

Yeah I bet the people cashing out are real upset about this
Actual prices:
ETH: $84.42
LTC: $27.27
Coinbase prices:
ETH: $88.78 + fees
LTC: $28.64 + fees
Is there an exchange that sells the actual current price? or are they all money grubbing bastards?

Exchanges are always right.

I was going by this:
https://www.cryptocompare.com/exchanges/btce/overview
BTC-E seems to be the only place that has the lowest price of those I've checked out..

BTCE is just one exchange among many and its prices are no more or less "actual" than those on other exchanges. Also, Kraken usually has lower fiat/crypto rates than Coinbase.
>>2077502
Kraken lets you decide at what price you'll buy. If there are no sellers at that price you won't get anywhere though. I kind of like Kraken.

there's only a few that US residents can use without hefty bank wire fees and such
It's ridiculous that we can't just put in our credit card and pay for what we want.

I'm in europe so I mostly have to put up with their delay in making funds available.
>It's ridiculous that we can't just put in our credit card and pay for what we want.
I agree. I'd like to give you a solution but I haven't found a good one yet. At one point I found a sort of intermediary that allowed credit cards but it was russian and looked very sketchy. Also, it had crappy fees.

You're realizing that just now? Crypto had always been a scam.
How about you buy it an at actual exchange instead of from Jews. Go on kraken. Also lol at buying anything other than BTC at coinbase, it's natural it's going to be above the market price since they sell it themselves
