How acceptable or unacceptable is it to apply for jobs 6 days after starting a job? Also take in to account that my current job has a temporary 5 month contract with no mention of renewal and I'm in my 20s.
The job is a good name on my CV but I have done almost nothing other than basic calculations since I got here.

First, Fuck this guy! "Back in my day people worked for 20 years with the same company and were proud of it" Shit changes old man. On to you OP. Fuck that company for not giving you the god damned common courtesy of a reach around while they fuck you.
They should bring you on as a full fledged employee and member of the team. All this butt fucking and companies are shocked why they cant keep employees

Obviously don't communicate your search to your current employers. Otherwise you can just put "Your New Employer 2017-present" and just explain it away as something temporary you're doing while looking for real work.

Nothing wrong since it's only contract. It can take like 3 months from the time you've applied to you actually start working your new role.
