Bitcoin is collapsing...

$1815 (was up to $1860 earlier)

Litecoin is collapsing...

$29.95 (was up to $38 at one time 2 days ago)

Ethereum is collapsing...

$88.01 (was up to $100 at one time but hasn't gained any money in a week)

When is the crash going to happen? Tonight? Friday? This Weekend?

Bitcoin and other cryptos are the future or at least a large part of the future.

BTC will crash hard because people want to cash out. It's how markets work you fucking idiots. Believe it or not I want you loser NEETS to make money and empower yourselves financially in order to stop being such fags, so listen to me:

BTC will crash violently, hopefully to around 900 or so in the following weeks. It will seem like the world is ending, other cryptos may drop as well. What you should do is buy BTC right now and pour it into other cryptos, almost all of it. Then when the crash happens, sweep us as much BTC as you can, or use your other cryptocurrencies to buy back BTC.

Keep at least 30-40% BTC for the long run. Don't try to play the markets if you can't afford to lose everything. If you go long, you'll make money.

Your holdings should look like this
40% BTC
30% GNT (because jews and illuminati)
10% ETH
10% LTC
10% XRP

And then throw a few thousand spare dollars into ultra shit coins like digibyte or bytecoin on the off chance they moon.

This is actually pretty accurate, apart from the crash towards the 900 opinion. Crash is due on 2000 mark, but it won't go below 1300.

Also I'd say:
40% btc
20% eth
15% ltc
10% xrp
15% any other shitcoins

Don't know anything about the gnome meme.

The litcoin collapse is long due, did you really think it would go higher after segwit was activated?

no one in their right mind is going to use that coin, and its never going to replace bitcoin

it'll plummet right down to below 5$ where it belongs like it did before

why do you think it has been dead for 3-4 years before this segwit meme became a thing
a big dip after a big pump is not unusual for ethereum, it always recovers and pumps very hard after its broken through the wall, you'd be wise to stock up now if you want eth below 3 digits

>>2063881
You call that a collapse? BTC routinely fluctuates $100-$200 DAILY. Thats what happens when an asset is valued in the thousands of dollars. ETH also fluctuates between $10-15$ routinely as well. These are not crashes, these are completely normal pullbacks from big surges. Weve barely just entered the "institutional investor" phase, if even at all. This is going to be 4-5 years in the making, just like the Dot Com boom of the late 90's/early 2000's.

Bitcoin will serve as the gold standard from which all crypto will continue to derive their value. It wont be used for mundane purchases anymore as if it were paypal, but it will still continue to hold value and serve as a bridge between fiat currency value and the cryptomarket.

Yes it is, every single one. Because even the most organic and honest steep price increase will induce greedy mania and speculative hype which leads to an even bigger & bubbly increase.

>>
If bitcoin crashes, how will this affect the altcoins / eth / ltc?
>>
>>2067821

depends on how easy they're to purchase and how reliant they're on bitcoin
>>
>>2067821
Nobody knows for sure, USDT is where I would go first.
>>
>>2067588
The main point is that it doesn't matter if BTC does crash, it's going to go back up to even higher values.
>>
>>2067854

and that could take months/years..
depends on how far it crashes
>>
>>2067840
Why not get a real currency, like JPY or EUR?
Hell, even MXN would be better than relying on dollars owned by a non-audited company in Taiwan where you can't even cash out if you don't have an account with a Taiwanese bank
>>2067821
Depends on how hard it's the crash and what causes it
Government and exchange related news would crash all the coins, problems endemic to BTC (like hardfork FUD or w/e) wouldn't
A really hard crash would affect all the coins after a while, regardless of it's origin

No they won't, ransomware has been a thing forever
US/Europe/Mexico are pretty open to cryptos, the UE parliament recently set up a commission on cryptos, Mexico it's looking at financial reforms to regulate crowdfunding and cryptos along with recent fintech memes, and the US already has quite a bit of crypto regulation in some states
Dunno' about Spain, but both Mexico and Spain are minor players in crypto markets, at best
Also, you're ignoring that you can't really ban Bitcoin, unless you go full North Korea on the internet and peoples freedom
And significant attacks have only been confirmed on UK and Spain, everything else is FUD by clickb8 """"journalists""""
You should be looking at $MSFT, since the only thing that has allowed this it's a Windows vulnerability

I dunno, man.

Ransomware in BTC has been around for a while, and why a hospital system of all places?

Sense of urgency to pay, sure, but it doesn't seem lucrative given the fact most hospitals are either in a closed ecosystem in regards to data.

Hell, most of the malpractice suits in America involve paper records, there's been a real struggle in the medical infosystems business to get hospitals to adapt.

I admit I don't know much about British healthcare, but this situation just seems very, very odd.

Maybe it's (((them))), maybe its blackhats, but I think someone has an ulterior motive here.

Some of you NEETs are alright, you better sell immediately

I don't have any crypto but I can see a lot of people in this thread aren't looking at the bigger picture. I'd say that we're definitely nearing the peak, heading into the denial phase of bitcoins inevitable crash.

How it's likely to play out:
>government and public outcry about anonymous dark/shady payment systems and crypto currencies
>talk of massive crackdown on bitcoin, especially exchanges where people 'cash out'
>bitcoin begins to crash bigly on that news in nose dive fashion <$1000
>panic selling since bitcoin is mostly used for illegal activities and everyone wants to get real cash out while they can
>bitcoin continues to tank <$500
>crackdown starts as legislation and regulations are introduced across a whole bunch of countries
>eventually bitcoin finds a bottom around $100 thanks to the 'it always goes back up' NEETs whole decided to baghold
>bitcoin recovers very, very slowly, taking years to even reach $500 again

Crypto currencies and blockchain in general is a great thing with a bright future, obviously BTC will always retain some sort of historic value even if it does fade away.

Yes, it will largely go unanswered. The story for the normies isn't "what payment did they want for the ransom", the story is
"Why were all these critical systems vulnerable when a security update was released for this 2 months ago"
and
"NSA tools"

>>
>>2070653
Normies may say that exactly but that's a separate issue.

I'm mainly talking about the ones paying the ransom ie governments, national health care systems (effectively government), communications and other huge, multi-billion dollar global industries. It's hard to imagine a scenario where they just pay thousands (or tens of thousands) of dollars to regain their data and 'letting it go', especially embarrassed governments.

Like I said I don't have any crypto but if I did, I'd be selling a large percentage of any open positions right about now.

No reason BTC can't go into the 400-600$ range.
And it wouldn't be a bad thing.
No reason to run this up up and away with the mining reward still so large.
12.5 coins a reward is still very large for the next 4 years. Powers to be will want to accumulate still. 1,728 bitcoins a day is quite a few.
Even after the next halving it will still not just skyrocket.
Nobody knows either how BTC will react in a bear market.
Things should get more interesting around the year 2024. or even 2028.

>BTC will crash violently, hopefully to around 900 or so in the following weeks.

We are in a bubble, and a correction is inevitable. But it likely won't hit till BTC hits 2K, and a drop to half value is not reasonable. Look to start buying BTC again when you see it bouncing between 1200-1400.

> If you go long, you'll make money.

If you're not day trading, the BTC correction won't hurt because it won't last. BTC will make a comeback, rest assured. If you are day trading, you'll lose it all and commit suicide eventually anyway.

There's no general that looks right and I'm not /that/ much of a shitter, so I'll ask here.

I want start with cryptos. I know I could do coinbase or whatever, but from what I understand it's not the best way.

Need to know how to create/manage my own wallet. And shit about that, like is a wallet for one currency only? ie. do you need a wallet just for Bit and another just for something else?

And some info on joining a mining pool for Bit or mining my own something else.

Not looking to get spoonfed (unless you want to senpai), mostly looking for a guide, good sites to read up on, shit like that.
Any good sources really.

Ok, laggard fags, here's what's up.

Bitcoin is not "collapsing", it is high as fuck.

I bought my first coins at about 30$ per BTC, kept buying all the way to 300$ or so. Then I realised this shit is way too high and I will not be buying anymore.

So I didn't.

And I put them in a hardware wallet. And forget about them.

Seeing how people are so dumb to actually pay 1k for a magic bean it is absolute idiocy to say that bitcoin is "collapsing".

It will be "collapsing" when it will be sub 100$.
