What's the best web wallet for storing ETH?
I have about 300 of it sitting around on Coinbase for years now and have had no problems with it but all these rumours are making me nervous.

My Ether Wallet seems to be what most people use, I need to transfer to it myself at some point, the mist wallet blockchain size is getting rediculous

Any downsides or complications to using it? I just send the ETH over and everything is fine? I feel really uncomfortable taking it off Coinbase for some reason.

Watch some of John McAfee's vieos on cybersecurity and bitcoin to realize that you are upping your risk exposure 10x deciding to move it to your PC or phone.
My advice is leave it on Coinbase

what about a hardware wallet?

Good goy. Just leave it on coinbase.com if you want the best security. Everything will be fine.

a web wallet isn't hardware though. Myetherwallet wouldn't be safe?

You've got to input your private key to access the wallet address right?

Well, yes.

The risk isn't zero on the way there, that is the point.
If its on coinbase in the cold storage with 2FA and two emails to unlock, thats pretty gud

It is safer to store your bitcoins/eth on coinbase if you don't know how to secure your own coins, but keep in mind that crypto whose keys you don't control are NOT yours, and can technically be taken at any time. Exchanges are really an awful place to store your crypto because they are centralized and time and time again someone walks off with the coins.
If you really want security with crypto you have to learn how to take responsibility for your own security. Hardware wallets are not 100% safe but then again nothing is. They are about as good as you can get, though. Leave your coins on exchanges if you must but this is considered very bad practice and honestly defeats the purpose of cryptocurrency as a decentralized form of money.
Should I use authenticator app on Coinbase or just text verification? I'm afraid with the auth app that if I ever lose my phone I wouldn't be able to access Coinbase, whereas I could probably keep the same number if I lost my current phone, no?

Is BITTREX safe ?
>>2063417
That's not the problem. No one is even going to brute force specific users with today's security. Problem is breaking into the actual database of the company where all the credentials and information is stored, i.e. like what keeps happening to yahoo, ebay, etc.
>tfw have 150 ETH and 3 BTC stored in my Jaxx wallet iphone app
