can anyone explain to me why normies and shops will ever use crytocurrencies?
>>
because usd is worth negative value and is backed by literally nothing. Crypto is also backed by nothing but it doesn't have 19 trillion debt attached to it

Read a book for once in your life you stupid nigger.

They wont really, but what will happen is something like paypal will adopt a bitcoin like platform and it will be used behind the scenes for stuff normies do
>>
They already are.

smoke shops in my city are accepting bitcoin now, its only getting started
>>
because credit card fees eat up a lot of merchant profits

This, some crypto or blockchain can be much cheaper on transaction costsavings than credit or debit.

>>2050216
Most certainly not this, the US dollar is back by the Federal Reserve and The United State's right/ability to tax the massive amounts of money that US businesses and individuals earn.
>>

Definitely this. But Bitcoin fails hard at point of service transactions unless you're willing to let someone walk out of your store at 0 confirmations. Not even ETH is fast enough as it is. People flip out if a card takes longer than 5 seconds.

LTC might be fast enough when lightning kicks in. ETH could improve using any number of concepts given how flexible it is. I don't see BTC getting segwit before either of the others eats its lunch.

because its super reliable programmable money

What a dumb fucking meme. What is BTC's intrinsic value? Nothing. It's all speculation meanwhile the USD is the world's reserve currency.

Make all the money you can in crypto but try to to drink the koolaid unless you like holding bags.
