How do you get good at crypto scalping?

I only make $5 a day, and it takes 16 - 32 hours for the sell order to go through, even when its only 5% above.

Why not just buy low and wait for the price to rise, and THEN make a selling order that sells instantly? With the upward trend and high volatility it shouldn't be hard to time? I don't get what you're trying to do here and why.
