I've had an internet business for 5 years but it's failing.
>run a private server of an mmorpg
>players grow up and have less time to play
>seemingly impossible to get new players from the next generation.
>nobody likes desktop games anymore
>everyone wants instant gratification, no more grinding
How do I get people to play a shitty old game? Facebook ads don't work, they only give you fake likes.
>How do I get people to play a shitty old game?
you don't. Adapt or die.

Things die and end. Do something else before you're fucked. Expand to another game?
>>2038143
Adapt in what way though? I obviously can't port it to mobile. MMORPGs are built around grinding, it wouldn't stay alive for long if there was no grinding aspect to it. I feel like my biggest problem is promotion.

>private server
Maybe do something that isn't illegal shitface.
>>2038154
Host something else, dumbass.

Host minecraft servers. kids love mincraft.
>>2038154
Find a way to make the grind less repetitive/more rewarding.

People stop playing old games at some point, that doesn't mean mmorpgs as a genre are dead or any of that other horseshit you wrote. Go with a newer game.

You should've prepared for this beforehand, not when you start seeing your business go downhill.

yur game isn't good enough.
no one ever stopped playing wow.
ppl still play fucking nes.
ur delusional.
u suck as a game designer and evaluator if you cant honestly asses your creation in comparison to other classic games on the market.
