I failed Calculus 2 and finished my CS degree with rather shitty grades. It didn't really matter though because I make $120k salary now and love my job. Do what you love and you won't hate waking up to go to work.

I was 2 points away from a B this semester in Calc II because I literally just didn't put in the effort. I put in the bear minimum and even thought I was going to possibly get a D.

Got a 91 on my final and was only 2 points away from a B. It was all due to effort. Don't fool yourself into thinking your stupid if you haven't really tried.

If you honestly gave it your all and couldn't do it though, I guess that's another story.

I'm an ME major also and don't really consider myself super smart. You just need to be willing to devote a shit load of time to it (adderall can help) but if you don't really like the field you will find it near impossible to get through.

Call 2 is one of the hardest classes you will take. Calc 3 is beautiful and some interesting math and the higher up classes use calculus but nowhere near the nitty gritty math seen in calc 2.

tldr study more and you can get through it. If you aren't interested then move on
