The elephant in the room here is that Ethereum-based transactions do not necessarily require ETH crypto-currency:
The increasing popularity of the Ethereum network is independent of the value of ETH (i.e. not a guaranteed moon mission)
>>20061Just like how Google stock is independent of people searching from Google.
Makes a lot of sense, anon.

It literally is
Don't be facetious
I want to buy more ETH now but when will it be enough

yeah but why go to the hassle of making your own crypto if you have ETH right there

i wish Bitbean would do something cool like this already

They do require ether, though. Gas must be used to "power" the transaction. Yes, you can trade other things of value by way of an Ethereum contract, but all contracts will must be fueled by some amount of ether to execute. Therefore, increasing popularity of the network is not, in fact, independent of the value of ether, in the same way that the popularity of internal combustion engine vehicles used to exchange goods isn't independent of the value of fossil fuel.
