Comfy Cryptocurrency General #2

Continued from: >>1987939

Hey /biz/nessmen, how's it going?

Buy any cool coins recently? Make a nice return? Looking for your next opportunity?

Why don't you come on in and chat for a minute. Maybe you can get some good ideas or give me some.

Looking to trade crypto for the first time? Read this guide:
https://comfycrypto.wordpress.com/2017/04/24/fueling-the-rocket-getting-started-with-crypto/

Hearing a lot about POSW lately? Here's how you can get in on that action:
https://comfycrypto.wordpress.com/2017/04/20/stake-your-claim-poswallet/

Tell me what you're curious about or want to know more about and I'll work on an article about it.

Otherwise, just tell me how you're hanging in there in this crazy world.

I would say half in STRAT (or ETH if you're not afraid of the ATH), 25% in POSW, 25% to do what you want.

Introduces barter exchange trading to crypto. Rather complex and I don't quite understand it, but apparently Bartercard is pretty successful. With a year until platform release we are very early and masternodes are relatively cheap.

>"Go to the exchange currently holding your currency and navigate to where your wallets are.. Aren’t signed up for an exchange yet? We can help with that."

It says "we can help with that", doesn't show how to sign up for an exhange, and then goes on to the next part.

How the fuck is this shit supposed to go to the moon when the shills can't even tell people how to buy it? Fuck this shit, I'll trust my instincts.

So as someone who has only ever traded on the stock market and primarily in the military industrial complex how long would it take me to read up on this and get started?
Being a somewhat older single guy time and capital aren't a problem, only knowledge is atm and from what I can tell there is an overflow of it when it comes to this topic, there is so much it is hard to tell what is "right" and what is "wrong".
>>
>>2006438

Just check out: https://comfycrypto.wordpress.com/2017/04/24/fueling-the-rocket-getting-started-with-crypto/

And read https://comfycrypto.wordpress.com/2017/04/27/remain-never-nervous/ for a general primer on how to pick and hold good currencies.

If you have a finance background, it should be easy enough.

I try to separate signal from noise as much as possible and cut through the garbage. Whenever I use a referral, I make it clear. I'm just trying to help people avoid the pitfalls and traps in the game, no bullshit.

Depending on your goals here I could give you clearer advice, but in general just get some money in crypto and then find investments that suit your style-- long term hold, mid term hold, short-term trading, or other investments like cloud mining (rarely but sometimes profitable) or masternode hosting.

If you have a good amount of capital I would look into hosting something like a PIVX masternode.

I think it will be worth more than it is now.

Their newly announced dividend rule is huge for the stability and long-term holding of their currency. Those who buy, will hold because dividend rewards increase the longer held.

They need to focus on professionalism and marketing now, along with acquiring more PoS coins that people want to stake. Losing PIVX sucked but showed their credibility.

I'm tired of my money sitting around doing nothing for me, but I have no idea what to do here.

I have 20k I can use at most.

Even if I were to spend it all on eth and the best case scenario of eth reaching bitcoin price levels now, it still wouldn't make me rich, and who knows how long it would take to accomplish that. This is all barring any other roadblocks or poor turnouts that could occur.

Is there a large likelihood that some other project or coin could have the same % increases as bitcoin and eth?

Make me rich /biz/ pls, I know you guys can do it.

Casper will be implemented in stages to reduce risk and I believe in 5 stages if not correct is what Vitalik said, and he said stage 1 is already completed. Stage 1 starts around September or August I believe but I could be wrong.

I think their new rule will do a lot to help people hang onto POSW and bring the price up. I don't have much POSW relative to others but the dividends were more than I expected. The new rule will reward those who stake longer based on time, so I hope that grows.

Oof, that's rough mate. Hope you make it back!

>>2009924

In order of current value: PIVX, ETH, POSW, BitBay, Chaincoin, Litecoin.

I think soon there will be a downturn in the real-world economy that will likely send people who want a higher degree of confidence in their holdings flocking to bigger coins like BTC, ETH, LTC, XMR, and DASH due to a low risk tolerance. Alt-coins will take a hit.
>>
>>2009944
Hope so too mate! I just wish the verifying processes would be faster. Was thinking of dumping the bucks into STRATIS, seems like a good decision, does it?
>>
>>2006622
Unless Bitcoin gets its scalability issues sorted out (which is very unlikely to happen inside a year) it will keep losing ground to alts.
>>
>>2009966

I think BTC will continue to have usage as the universal currency across all exchanges and still has the most real world usage/acceptance at retailers.

ETH (or another currency) is going to need to do a lot to supplant it in those spheres still. Bitcoin is usually the only cryptocurrency normies know, if any.

Trying to get significant gains in two days is going to be pretty much a crapshoot.

I'd probably buy POSW as it's low now but has been fluctuating by about five cents up and down frequently over the past couple of days.
>>
Also, I just posted the step-by-step guide on setting up a Chaincoin masternode-- it's really cheap to acquire the 1000 CHC needed to start which is why I used that currency.

https://comfycrypto.wordpress.com/2017/04/30/making-a-masternode/

I'm really excited about this post. Follow these steps precisely and you shouldn't have a problem getting up and running!

Even if you don't plan to keep it running or invest seriously in CHC, it's certainly a fun project for a Sunday afternoon!

>>
>>2006765
Dumbass just buy and eth and use your gains as seed money for your next investment. NEETcoins are good money but they won't make you rich if you aren't already
>>
>>2010188

Ethereum is probably the best buy for gains over a longer period of time, I'm not sure if you're going to get significant gains over two days to make a difference.

At this stage you're pretty much gambling if you're trying to make a quick buck. Maybe try to identify a few small waves and make money riding it up and selling at a higher price-- GNT looks like it's spiking right now.

I made about $1000 when BTC Unlimited spiked up 5000% just by buying when it was 1537% up and selling at around 3000% up 10 minutes later.

>>
>>2010309
alright, so we basically fund the card with ETH and then we get more tokens to buy something with it afterwards when they launched?
>>
>>2010329

This funding is basically to pay the development team to create Token Card, which is basically meant to be a payment system. If you get in early for the 150 TKN:1 ETH trade, you'll be getting TKN at a price of 50 cents a piece USD.

>>2010334

I believe it is only ETH for the initial funding. You can always just buy extra ETH with your BTC/USD and spend it. At that point, ETH is nothing but a label.

>>2010335

Well, you're buying TKN, not really the card application. It's like buying stock in TokenCard which will then make the application. You can use the TKN on the application, but I don't think that's the point of getting involved in this project.

Okay, weird stuff.

I did some things to increase my buy limits on Coinbase, but now instead of having 5,000 for bank purchases and 350 debit/credit card weekly buy allowances, it's showing me that I only have 1000 for banks and 50 for cards (after investing around 2.4k)

I am still waiting for my purchases I just made of BTC and ETH to go through though, is this normal?
>>
>>2010416

Hmmm... I would say that it's showing you your weekly remaining limits, but that still wouldn't add up based on the 2.4k number you gave.

Did you remove a piece of verification somewhere along the line to add something else in?
>>
>>2010436
Not that I can recall.

I already uploaded my ID to increase, but occasionally it says I still have the option to "Upload My ID" even though I already have.
>>
>>2010451

Try uploading that ID and report back-- maybe it's a different form of ID or something you added conflicts with information provided previously.
>>
>>2010368
True, I can buy more ETH and just buy TKN. I was being retarded, that's what wage-cucking a 17 hour shift does to you.

Yeah, there might be a little bit of shift up or down going from USD-BTC-ETH or even BTC-ETH but it'll be minimal if you move the money quickly.

Hope you're taking it easy after a long day, friendo. Get comfy and make some crypto moves.

No sweat, it's just bummer because I wanted to buy some BTC with my debit card and play around with on the exchange.

But, looks like it's a common problem for some people, so we'll see how that works out.

Account's restricted for high-risk of fraud, how long does it usually take to resolve? I emailed them on the 28th (Coinbase). I messed up some information and then after I verified identity they just restricted account and didn't say anything.
>>
>>2010659

I've been a member since July 2013 and I just signed on a few days ago to move some BTC to STRAT and I couldn't buy more BTC. Says my account is restricted and when I went to use the mobile app it said I was locked out. These fucking assholes are the worst. They can't give me a straight answer as to why my account is restricted when they have all my IDs, Bank Account hooked up and Credit/Debit card. I want to send another message today but I doubt anyones working today so I'll message them again on Monday because I too haven't heard back.
>>

The way of the Jew.

1. Let your profit ride, exit the trade, and re-invest your profit to make more profit. Never "sell at 30 percent profit because I want to win", let the profit ride fucking high, then exit the trade before it crashes. This is the way of the Jew.

2. DO NOT panic buy into a coin that is spiking. By then, it's too late because the Jews already accumulated the coins at a low price. If you buy during a coin during a massive rally, you are the sucker.

3. Ignore the message board shills that promote fear, uncertainly and panic. Ignore the twitter faggots that gossip about coins. Your only focus is to buy low, sell high. This means accumulating coins during quiet times and selling when it pumps high then exit the trade. Rinse and repeat.

Mastercard. Right after I tried to link my debit card it got blocked and I got an automatic call from my bank about "suspicious activity." I think the only way I'll be able to unblock it is by calling them.

Trade volume for all crypti started spiking around end of March/beginning of April this year. It looks like someone started systematically pumping the system

Anyone know why?

Are there any good sites I can link a Canadian bank account to in order to buy eth? Coinbase only accepts debit/credit from canadians.

I'm a poorfag so trying to avoid as many fees as possible. Want to hold eth for a long time, putting a few hundred towards it every paycheque, and play around with a few shilled coins.

I was thinking of creating a USD savings account since I get USD tips frequently at my job, and make USD from my online business through paypal. Would it be easier to link a USD account from a Canadian bank in order to buy crypto?

I also have a hookup at a currency exchange so I would have no fees converting my shit CAD to USD.

Just trying to educate myself as much as possible before I dive in, so any tips for Canadian crypto trading would be great.

Complete Newfag to Cryptos here

How would a Crypto (say BTC/ETH) ETF work?

Like is there a just some holder who spends the fund money and buys Cryptocoins?

If so, why would you invest in that and not just buy coins yourself?

I've never had an issue transferring to Bittrex.

>>2011593

I think Ethereum has introduced cryptocurrencies to a wider range of interested audiences for enterprise applications, giving the broader field greater legitimacy.

Using blockchain technology that Bitcoin pioneered, people are coming up with even more practical applications that are increasingly varied.

I don't think this is a coordinated pumping effort but simply a natural increase in attention and value into the market.

uh hey guys is there a discord channel for comfy people to just talk and connect with like-minded fellows, discuss crypto, make
friendships
, and just for hanging out?

I saw a couple discord links last week but they led to this pump and dump group... I tell you even though they sounded like they were all business, they weren't very warm and welcoming to newbs... I ended up leaving.

Newfag question that was left unanswered in another thread:

I bought ETH through their Windows wallet application 10 days ago but it's not showing up on the app. It looks like the transaction has been approved though. What's going on?

https://etherscan.io/address/0x16248ebc6d016a398b045536d4155ae76843680f

Also I made some orders for GNT on Bittrex 24 hours ago but it's still open. Under Time in Effect, it says "Good "Til Cancelled" still. Do I just have to wait?
>>
>>2012165

Not sure about the first part, are you sure the network wallet is synced?

As for the second, you have it set at a price nobody is selling. Cancel and re-adjust your order or it'll sit there.

>>2012078

No Discord yet, I agree there is a need for one as most discords are for pump and dumps.
