What is the /biz/nessman's haircut strategy? My old strategy was get a haircut like every 6 months once it started looking hippie-tier. But I don't think that will make me look like a respectable /biz/nessman so I need to get it cut more often. Surely giving $20 every 2 months to some fat woman to give you a cut that looks terrible isn't a sustainable strategy?
anon your supposed to get it cut every 5-7 days if you want to look respectable in the real world.

Just go bald

What's fucken sad is this is true. You can cut it yourself. Buy clippers and make it all one size all around
>>1984693
send $40-$60 on a good quality Wahl clippers
Spend $12 on a good quality thinning sheers
Spend $3 on regular scissors
Cut the sides & back on a #2 clipper guard; then fade in the edges with the #1.
Trim the top with the #4 and fade it into the sides with a #3
leave the front a little longer and thin the middle of the top with the thinning sheers
trim front to desired style/length with the regular scissor (smaller scissors are better)
so this every 2 weeks and augment with a classic barber visit 3-4x a year.
Pays for itself in 2 months.
You will get compliments and people will ask who your barber is.
When you tell them you do it yourself, you will get insta-respect.
Pepper the conversations about how you built your shed/fixed your car/felled a tree/etc and you will be A+ #1 hero.
It pays for

20 bucks at a proper men's barber that does a hot shave around your neck and such
once a month
don't be autistic and go overboard but definitely don't let it go 6 months, that was my old strategy too, you're right that its not a good one.

Growing a mullet as we speak. Fuck normies
>>1984701
1 week is about 1/8 of an inch of hair growth. Unless you are buzzing it, that much hair wil be impossible to notice.
>>1984693
I go to a barber once a month. $20, in and out in under 30 minutes, no appointments necessary, we talk about hunting/fishing/local happenings. Fuck cutting my hair myself and fuck going to some expensive stylist that requires an appointment, charges $40+ for a men's haircut, and wants to cut my hair like Justin Bieber.
Cut your own hair. Its fucking easy.
1 take guard off, shave up to 1/2 inch from where head starts to round
2 take a 7 and cut the top
3 shave the back half of your head with a 5
4 shave the back 1/4 with a 3
5 shave the back 1/8 with a 2
6 shave the rest with a 1
7 fade the no guard part into the 1
Hold up a mirror to do the back... easy hitler youth or military style cut

I can't do the back of the head myself. The transition between back and top is uneven.

I work for a accounting firm, as a young dude
I have tried all kinds of shit, from fat salon ladies to students to niggers/turks/indians/italian barbershops to $$ salons to having a gf/friend trim it
the best one is to find a place that is a good price for you and cuts to your liking. this depends on your hairstyle. my style used to be a crew cut kind of thing now its a undercutish thing
i get mine cut at a ethnic barbershop (17$ + tip) every month. i trim my sideburns everytime i shave
i might consider a style that has longer sides to allow for more time in between cuts (short sides means more frequent cuts to not look messy) but longer sides dont really look good on my face

This haircut is gay af
I get my hair cut every 2-3 weeks
>>1984693
>>1984741
I do this and had a lot of success. Girls looking at me all the time and friends complimenting my haircut and impressed when i tell them i do it myself. I even cut my brothers hair.
but, last time i did my own hair I messed up the front so i had to razor the whole thing.
It can be risky but it feelsgood
>>1984701
You are incredibly autistic if you care enough to cut it every 5 days. Once every 2-3 weeks is the most you'd ever really need to cut it, unless you're a fucking gorilla growing feet of hair every week
>>1985523
>unless you're a fucking gorilla growing feet of hair every week
this is normal for a healthy man anon. sounds like you'll be going bald soon.
>went to friend to get my hair cut for last like 3 years
>only got basic cuts
>decided to go to my brothers barber who's really good
>dude pays a lot of attention to detail, plus gives me a part and straight razors the edges
>go every 2 weeks rather than once a month
People legitimately started treating me different and compliment me more. The haircut makes the man anon.
been cutting my hair 6 years now with a decent pair of wahl clippers like the other anons. You may get some funky cuts the first couple times(luckily i was young and in college for this period), but once you get a feel for what works and what doesn't you wont look back.

I just follow the curve of my head, but then push the clippers vertical at a certain point (so instead of keeping them straight on my head and going horizontal, shaving the top, I just skim some of the top/back transition point.) It comes out pretty tight, but that's in style these days anyway.
The hard part for me is the bottom of the back, plus you have to touch this up every now and again.
Using mirrors while using the clippers really fucks me up, my best strategy is to position my hand as a stop using the mirror and go at it. Check it in the mirror, adjust and repeat.
>>1985915
Yeah I started just buzzing it completely uniform. Then you realize you should do the sides shorter, clean up the ears, etc. Used scissors the first time recently, figured I could just shave it completely if I needed to, but I was pleased with how it came out.
Cut your own hair like me
I don't cut my hair at all. It's okay though because I work at a casino and the guests think I'm some stereotypical stoic young Indian. It's funny to me because I'm actually hispanic and can grow a beard, unlike the real tribals, kek.

Find a barbershop in your area. Go in, ask for something simple like a fade. If he cant even do that, go elsewhere. Ideally you should be cutting your hair atleast once a month. You look much better this way and it gives off the impression that you care about how you look.
In Britain we have lots of high quality Turkish barbers who do a good cut + blade beard trim with hot towel for £10-12
Go there roughly every two weeks and use a stubble trimmer once a week to keep grown looking reasonable on beard.
£20 a month really isn't a lot of money if you're an adult in the real world and not NEET. Even broke students can afford that.

Guys, I have a bank interview coming up, last time i cut my hair was 3.5 weeks ago. Should I go get it cut anyway?
