Unmotivated Comp. Eng. student here. I'm wondering if anyone here got out of the engineering meme. In that case, what is your story? What did you transition to?
My brother dropped out of computer engineering to start an online tshirt business. It failed and he had to pay student loans so he worked at Subway for a while. Now I think he's unemployed, suicidal, and dating a fat girl he met at subway (srs)
is computer engineering a meme

Im wagecucking full time after getting my degree.
Investing in risky stocks (Canadian weed stocks, medical and medical robotics) + ethereum and monero. You'd think I'm meming, but I'm not... the problem with comp eng/comp sci is that all the jobs are up or out + ageism when you hit 40. My plan is to save and invest till I can support myself on minimal expenses, then start my own thing.

This feels like a meme. Say you reach the level "senior software engineer", and never really go above to whatever your company calls the level above that. Why would the company not want to keep you there?
