What is the best book on the Financial Crisis of 07-8' ?
I'm looking for one aimed at a target audience with a proper understanding of economics and finance, not meme-tier kind of shit that is aimed at average Joe.
Also, any professional reports on the collapse that /biz/ recommends are welcome too.

Not a book, sorry, but Inside Job (2010) was quite a good documentary. It will point you to some reports that you may find useful.
I haven't read it myself, but I believe the book which The Big Short was based upon actually goes into far more detail, from differing perspectives. Probably worth your time to understand why the people, who bought into swaps betting against CDOs, bypassed what all the rating agencies were saying.
Look up Michael Lewis. He was a Trader for Solomon Brothers and wrote some great stuff.

Yeah I've seen Inside Job. It's a good movie. I had forgotten about the reports in that film (I think there were some IMF reports, etc.) so I'll check them out
And okay, I was thinking the Big Short book might've been memey (dumbed down), but maybe that was just the movie so I'll check it out

I thought you were fucking with me at first, suggesting the ballet movie, but then I remembered it's one of Talebs books
