Politics is getting increasingly crazy and consumer debt seems to be on an ever-increasing increase too. Since the last financial crisis it doesn't seem like that much has changed desu, I wouldn't be surprised to see another one within ten years.

If you feel another financial crisis isn't too far away, just safe money at the moment and then wait for the market to bottom out and then just buy as much index stocks as you can possibly get.
