I've got a friend who I believe wants to palm his retail business off to me. He's due to retire and keeps trying to get me involved. The issue is that I have a lot of uni and I don't really know how to manage a business. Should I get a book on accounting and try to keep up? What else would I need to look into? I know about retail because i wageslave as a retail manager elsewhere but the upper side of things I am curious about.

Is there a reason your friend is entrusting you to be able to run it? Asides from your education? Or is that it?
