I have a domain name: xxxxrooms.com
Where xxxx is a popular, expensive, tourist location.
What should I do with it? What type of business should I create? Localized Airbnb? I'm not sure at all. I want it to have immediately generate revenue though.
I can program, so I can manage any tech/web aspects that come up.

You're putting the cart before the horse mate. This domain is useless without an established service.

Well you should have thought of that before you registered the domain.
The only thing I can think of is you make it like a travel advice website, and let local business advertise... That probably raises some consumer law shit, because you want it to look impartial while you still pocket money for referrals.
Also the problem is you need to promote the website before it can start being viable.
A meme idea I had is you set up a webcams in a few booth in a bar in said town... how you'd make income, I don't know... but its "room"

Get into local SEO and write reviews for hotels/anything a tourist might want to rent on it. Rank your site on the first page of google for your searchterms and take money from hotels in your area to promote them on your site. Good luck
