Would it be a good idea to start a car rental business?
I have the money to buy around 8-10 cars.

dont know to much about it
but i reckon the insurance involved in such a venture alone is a bitch im sure

Why would I need to rent a car
>>1925414
I'd start my business near an airport where tourists can rent cars to drive around the country
>>1925371
Seems like a crowded market. Why would anyone use you and not one of the well known ones?
>>1925371
Sounds like high-risk, low returns,
Notice that most car rental locations are franchised. It's because they have the huge advantage of being able to move cars around on demand.
Holiday season over? Move some cars back to capital city. Etc...

Now you're thinking s(:^D)
Specialize in electric cars maybe
Pretty sure a few people would want to try driving a Tesla
You might get tax cuts from the government too

Never looked into it but seems like it would be tough without the scale
I'd rent one of your cars OP, don't want to get hooker spit all over the leather of my Audi.
:^)

>use Silvercar
>get hooker spit on someone else's Audi

I work at LAX the rental car companies have their own complimentary free shuttles that drive around the airport all day and theres a lot of them. Stiff competition.

This.
I frequent LAX and know that once I get off a plane, I walk outside, onto a free shuttle and no one beats Alamo's pricing and convenience.
