Buying and selling ETH.

Looking to get into Monero soon as soon as I have enough money to lay down a solid financial plan (no more fucking pump and dumps I've learned my lesson) with diversification and just let it sit for a while or maybe swing trade with limits.
>>
>>1916469
tell me about ark
>>
The Perfect Plan right now:
>What are you selling?
Currently I'll be selling some PIVX tomorrow when it follows it's cycle and goes down to around $.6 to $.7

>What are you buying?
Then I'll be buying the fuck out of ETH with PIVX profits

Some dates to note for Ethereum:

April 2 - "B@B" Blockchain at Berkeley, a workshop being held at UCB to help devs and compsci students build blockchain-based applications for things like Ethereum; probably not that important at all but it gives some hype/publicity to ETH

April 14 - Ethereum releases its NEW list of added partners to the ENTH Alliance, a supposed "Who's who of the World", which is already incredible given the current list floating around here with the pictures of Jews on it; this is likely the real date to look out for

April Whenever - Raiden network is supposedly getting launched, currently 65% finished on github, the network for Ethereum would increase throughput to >6 gorillion (1 million) transactions per second as well as improve privacy and; this is months ahead of Bitcoin's similar Lightning network, due in June but after the Bitcoin Classic spin off on the 1rst
>>
>>1916593
Main takeaway:
Have all of your shit ready before April, big things are happening then even with other coins like the Zencoin split and the french elections for those political memecoins

Additional prediction:
>In the spirit of faggotry, I and other people on the board I'm sure will be shilling utter shitcoins here on April 1rst
>>
DOGE is about to explode. Ripple is still going strong too.

On a more long term hold I'm in NXT, ETH, ETC and NAUT.
>>
>>1916559
Sorry, i don't know much about it!

>>1916593
Interesting, sounds like that will drive the price up and make it much MUCH more useful than bitcoin.

Personally i'm buying coins that have practicality thats beyond an alternative coin. BitBay really has my interest right now. Its just a good idea having a trading client to support your coin.
>>
>>1916633

I bought PIVX during the dip and i've seen 25% profits. And that was money i've taken out of eth. It's either stagnating or due a dump so I think I made the right call.
>>
VERGE (XVG)

It's a multi-algorithm coin that uses five different proof-of-work algos that operate in parallel to secure its blockchain. Also has privacy features. I think multi-algo coins will attract more focus because they can be safer from 51% attacks than single proof-of-work coins or proof-of-stake coins. It's also more difficult for one group of miners to dominate a multi-algo coin and block changes/upgrades to the software.

It happens man, learn from it. We've all made bad decisions when it comes to selling/holding. Just have to realize very little alts actually have potential. Almost every single coin will dump. Only a few are good to hold.
>>
>>1919244

Adjust for how much risk you can tolerate, but spread your money out between whichever of these you like best in a category and don't have weak hands.

BUY AND HOLDS - Tier 1, Lower Risk (65% of total BTC)

Ethereum
BTC (Unless hard fork real)
Monero

BUY AND HOLDS - Tier 2, High Risk (25% of total BTC)

PIVX
BitBay
Ripple

HOLD - If you have, don't sell, but don't buy either.

Dash
Golem
DCR
ETC

SHITCOINS - 10% if you need to indulge in gambling, otherwise split between above categories.
>>
>>1919255
>PIVX
>BitBay
>Ripple

Lmao these are some of the shittiest of the shit. The biggest meme coins that are trending right now.
>>
>>1919259

Not true at all. I judge coins potential for future growth- barring pump and dumps- based upon their real life applications and tech, whether or not they're being currently heavily developed, and their community. Each of these factors increases the likelihood it will continue to grow and generate press and awareness for the coin, causing spikes.

Ripple is bordering on falling off that list, but PIVX and BitBay and the best value buys out there. I urge you to look into the driving forces behind these currencies and ask if that currency is the highest it'll ever be worth again right now-- if the answer is no, you should buy.
>>
>>1919255
Don't give me advice if you think Bitbay and Ripple are good coins.
>>
>>1919266

If you're trying to pump and dump, don't ride them. But eventually you'll have to own up to the fact that the forces making major day to day moves with these coins have so much more money than you that you're probably going to lose.

They're cheap coins and good value buys compared to what they could be worth based on current trends. And like I said above, Ripple is on the verge of falling off, but I'd defend BitBay as one of the best buys for a currency with an actual shot at being used for anything.
>>
>>1919264
PIVX may be a good coin, but it's already at $40 million market cap. Not a good choice for growth.

BitPay is a 3 million marketcap. It may be a good medium term hold. But I don't trust that it is fundamentally a good coin.

Ripple is a centralized corporate coin. The cryptoworld hates it. It's only favored by traders right now, because they can make a bit of money off of it.
>>
>>1919272
BitBay*
>>
>>1919272

PIVX's ceiling is higher than a $40 million cap. Dash is a wounded animal right now but it still has almost a $500 million market cap, PIVX is a fork with new tech to offer and is capable of one day in the future overtaking or at the very least peeling off 20% of Dash's market, especially if it continues to worsen. I think it hits $5 by end of year.

BitBay is interesting, but I also think compared to what it costs now it's potential to eventually reach a $1 range is too good to pass up. The rolling peg would certainly take care of that problem and it's very well developed (if not in need of a UI update, but that's not as hard as all the rest that went into) and is something that Ethereum is basically promising but not delivering on. I'm not trying to tell you to hold these coins for eternity, if a coin goes 500% you should probably sell and buy a dip if you want to get back in at all, but there's potential there.

Traders have money and so do corporations and their Bitcoins spend like the rest of the people in the cryptoworld. Precisely why I think it has potential as well!

I appreciate your reasoned points. :)
>>
>>1919285
BitBay would be my choice of the three. Probably will reach 10 million marketcap at some point. I'll keep an eye of it. Looks like it is bleeding out from the last rise and may do so for a while longer.
>>
>>1919306

I think BitBay has the room for the largest % gains from where it is, although I still think PIVX is probably the safer bet for more moderate gains within a year.

Depending on how much you have to work with, I would say buy and stake 50k or 100k Bitbay and wait.
>>
I like PIVX but they use the old proof-of-stake method which may not be as safe as proof-of-work for securing the blockchain. Once Ethereum implements Casper all these coins using traditional proof-of-stake could lose a lot of value.

Most undervalued coin.

This coin has actual game changing potential and yet nobody talks about it.

The huge pump that it had was short lived, but the coin was literally on the market for 3 days.

The SmartBridge will be able to make all cryptos linked via bridged blockchains.

It's the glue that brings all the pieces together.

Long term hold. Not a pump and dump.
>>
>>1919329
Explain this further. Why is it important all the coins will be linked. What benefit does this provide?
>>
>>1919319

Ethereum is probably a ways away from that, if they end up going that direction once they get all their corporate backers at the table. Plenty of time to make some money.
>>
>>1919329
>The SmartBridge will be able to make all cryptos linked via bridged blockchains.
Could you expand on that a bit?
>>
>>1919333
With all of the coins being linked it provides a network or ecosystem that all currencies can be used on.

Instead of "only accepting bitcoin" or "ethereum payments only" this system allows virtually any crypto to be used irregardless of the merchants preference.

It's similar to how only some places accept "Apple Pay" yet anywhere with an NFC reader can accept Samsung pay.

>>1919340
The tech is going to allow many if not all currencies viable to use in any form of payment.

Going through a bitcoin block chain for example takes a few minutes.

Going through an ethereum blockchain is even faster.

But what if you wanted to pay for something at a place that only accepts bitcoin but all you have is ethereum?

Instead of going through each blockchain to transfer your eth to btc. ARK links those chains together via the SmartBridge and let's you continue on your way much faster.

It's mainly for mass consumer adoption.
>>
>>1919385
So it's basically just a wallet? Why would that be worth much?
>>
>>1917866
>>1919234
It's looking good my friend.
>>
>>1919393
No no it's much more than a wallet. Although you can limit it to just that if you want.

With actual use comes more application.

The token itself is going to be the currency used to power all of the transactions so with more use the value of the token increases.
>>
>>1919402
Fair enough. It sounds useful, I won't argue with that. Just not sure about it's profit potential.
>>
>>1919329
>>1919333
>>1919385

There already ethereum dApps which do exactly that
>>
>>1919404
Understandable. At it's current price of ~$0.06 I don't see it going anywhere but up. But I'll leave the decision up to you.

>>1919405
Which dApps if you don't mind me asking? The team behind Ark is constantly looking for ways to improve the project.

Do those dApps have roadmaps for mass adoption or potential uses outside of the internet?

I'm not trying to sound like an ass I'm actually curious. It's hard to express what I'm saying through text as it doesn't allow tone of voice.
>>
>>1919420
The price is irrelevant. You have to look at marketcap. And it is currently at $5.5 million.
>>
>>1919422
With a much higher potential of $5.5 million.

Am I missing anything?
>>
>>1919200
>coin that banks are using that's backed by Google
>lol its a scamcoin
Never breed.
>>
>>1919428
Stating price without the marketcap is deceptive is my point. Some people think a low price means something. Some people think it's a good thing when a stock splits. These things are meaningless. They are psychological games.

XRP is a centralized shit for big banks, I don't want to deal with this. All the spirit of cryptos is to get rid of the current banking system. It may be good for an investment, idk, but for ethical and philosophical reasons, I prefer to see it fail.

Meanwhile ARK is developing SmartBridges between blockchain in order to create a real crypto ecosystem. You could use any coin to buy something in BTC with no extra fees. It's a far better way to enable fast and secure cross-blockchain transactions than all the alternatives proposed so far (off blockchain channels, sidechains...) And ARK is under 6k sat right now, you can buy a load for cheap and realize decent gains even in short term. Remember this coin is not even 3 weeks old.

TL;DR
XRP may be good for profit but I don't care for personal reason, fuck this shit
