Got offered $25k more than any other person I know in the same field right out of college, and it was in a city with really low cost of living to boot.

Since taking the job though I have literally zero friends. No friends also means no pussy.

Got around it by encouraging a good friend of mine to apply for a job he was well qualified for. I went from being under half the age of my next youngest colleague to only being the youngest by a year.

At the time though, I coped by having friends in other teams in the same area. I work in a big government department though so I suppose it was easy.
