I mean wars have been fought to prop up the petrodollar system. Hundreds of thousands of people have died in Iraq. Gaddafi got ass raped with a bayonet and murdered for threatening it.
You don't go to that amount of trouble of the system is impervious. The Powers That Be were alarmed that some uppity Arabs might upend the system by trading oil in currency besides dollars.
Then you have all of these parasites in the US. Ghetto mamas, "urban youths", and "vibrant immigrant communities" that breed like mad and need a constant supply of food stamps, medicaid, social security disability and on and on. Then you have the upper class welfare queens whose banks can never be allowed to fail. So anytime they run into trouble unlimited amounts of money is printed for them. Then the boomers expect to live to age 100 and slurp down medicare and social security the whole time.
Is there really anyway to pay for all this shit? What if we try? Will the dollar be able to stand it?
If the dollar goes away then what? Gold, SDRs?
It's not at all clear what medium of exchange people will pick. In the chaos and uncertainty there's no telling how high crypto could go.
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe we can pay for infinite naggers, thirdworlders, old people and banksters

That's why, they all think they are the smarties, it's kind of a Dunning-Kruger effect with a smattering of a sense of personal exceptionalism because they're not a normie.
