Overrated. It has nothing to do with Micron does something significant against its competitors. The result is because of 1) Shortage of NAND memory 2) Potential sale of chipmaking business of Toshiba.

Samsung is still the dominant one and there is Hynix in DRAM market.

If you look up the chart, Micron used to hold almost 30% of the market, now they are capped at 20%. The biggest competitor, Samsung has increased the market share from 35% to 50%. Hell, even Hynix increased their market share from 15% to 25%.
