Do you really need a prestigious college degree to succeed in business or in life?

Yes, unfortunately
Employers care about the qualification only, not about your skills and they are not even going to give you a chance.
In the best case you can get work that would require a more qualified person normally and get even more stress while they are still not going to pay you any more because you do not have the qualifications to get a higher pay.
I experienced this in 3 different jobs.
I got myself the experience and it just got more stressful when they figured out what i'm capable of, yet they denied my request for more pay.
2 of the companies had to get a studied person and pay 80% more when i left..
The only way is self-employment and building up a reputation otherwise nobody's going to give a fuck if you can build a time machine or not

Bachelor in Business Administration should help you

No, but it doesn't hurt.
Whats better MBA or Master in finance ?
>>1864949
At the bachelors level? lolno. At the master's level? Yep. Either way, only the top firms give a shit about prestige. If you expect to land in investment banking, you better have a prestigious school attached or expect to have a tons of experience at other places.
The studies that I have seen basically conclude that going to a prestigious university is functionally a shortcut. It lets you land the positions and make the money that you would make midway through your career early on. Eventually the earnings of someone who didn't go to an Ivy League or Oxbridge catch up at around the ten year mark, but the gap in earnings up until that point coupled with investment opportunities basically insure that there will always be a wealth gap on average.
Princeton grad here to tell you that college is worthless. Even princeton is worthless. Even tho compared to most no-name, mommy pay 60,0000 dollars a year so i can learn about feminism colleges, princeton is a gold mine, all in all its still worthless. Your iq that you got from your parents dna is what determined your worth in the world. Not how many socialist inferiorbois you read the works of in college.

MBA is more prestigious, but its expense as fuck. For the most part it is only worth getting it if you get accepted into a top MBA program.
Therefore, if money is not an issue, go for MBA.
You should do a cost-benefit analysis for both degrees if money is a factor.
