Hey /biz/,
I go to a college with about 14,000 people in it, and theres a small town from the 50's about a mile away. Howveer, this town is in no way a college town even though it has some things that students would like (like a movie theater, bakery, cafe, etc.)..
Do you guys have any ideas on how to attract students/make a better relationship between the town and college.
This is in Vermont btw.
This is for my entreprenurship project.
Current ideas:
>Have restaurants give student discounts (idk why they dont already)
>Put a giant blimp in the center of the town (so that you can see it from college) so kids go to the base of it out of curiosity
>Clean up project of trash cans / streets, so townspeople see that we are not actually vermin
any more?

Best way to build a relationship with the college is to have a decent bar scene. This usually means having the following:
1 country bar
1 clubbish bar
1 Irish bar
1 chill hipster bar that serves food
Then make sure Uber or a bus system running until 3am on weekends is available in the area and you're golden.

Why can't you come up with your own idea then?
