How do I get into stocks and trading? I don't know anything, have nobody in my family or circle of friends that knows anything about it, etc. I know there are books and """classes""" but don't know where to start.

Is investing in penny stocks a good intro to trading? Is it profitable for people on the low end who don't have a ton of money to play around with?
