Hi /biz/,

I'm considering taking a smallish personal loan at 3.3% to invest in a fund which should return at least 5% pa over 5 years. Has anyone done this? Will I have to be honest with my bank about using it for arbitrage purposes or am i better off telling them it's for 'home improvements' or 'other'?

Well, if I was to declare it as 'other' it would cover me in that sense. I wouldn't willingly breach any terms of contract with my bank for obvious reasons. I guess the emphasis of my question should have been the likelihood of being lent to for the purpose of investment.
