If I'm a lazy sack of shit, do I have reason to do anything besides put money in Vanguard total/international stock market index funds?
Wait for the next crash, then invest, wait 10 years and pull the money out, wait for the next crash, then invest again and so on

this
Just daytrade leveraged etf gold stocks and then wait for the crash and invest in vanguard roth IRA

sounds like work

im in the same boat. $60k and afraid to invest anything right now. I was planning to put 50k into vanguard, 5 in gold, and another 5 in other volatiles like bitcoin, but with interest rates practically guaranteed to rise in a week I'm afraid of impending doom.

If multiplying your returns by doing one thing every 10 years is too much work for you then just invest everything now and sit on your negative returns for another two years
>>1839979
there are plenty of those though. how do i pick one
>>1839982
Literally all you have to do for the former is wait a few years and press a button.

And knowing when the market is going to crash somehow doesn't require any amount of paying attention/data analysis? Nah, fuck that.
I'm talking *real* laziness here.
>>1840499
If you want real laziness then yea just put everything in one fund. Set up automatic payments for future investing
If you want to be even lazier you can go even further and just get a vanguard target retirement fund w/ automatic payments. Just make sure to set it up as an ira
>>1839971
Just put your money in a tax free bank account

>And knowing when the market is going to crash somehow doesn't require any amount of paying attention/data analysis?
You don't have to predict when the market will crash, dummy, you just have to buy after it happens. Read a newspaper every few weeks and see if the market crashed.

>Read a newspaper
What is this, the middle ages? Still too much work.

if you can't even check the news then this isn't your board
Short the economy you tard, Trump is going to crash the economy and all the corruption inside it.

What if I invest in edgy comment-making on anonymous Internet message boards?
