I recently sold my game for just under 2 million NZD (after the fuckload of taxes) and should be getting the money in a month or so. I have no idea how to invest or whatever and I don't want to be a retard and waste it all. So what should I invest in?
Is property a good idea? I know someone who can evaluate properties and stuff so I don't think I'd be buying shitty ones.

Congrats anon. Seems like us kiwis have a lot of gaming start ups lately.
Don't invest in property in Auckland bro. When China's economy stalls the housing market will dip a fair bit.
And Wellington/Christchurch is horrible since most properties on the market need earthquake strengthening which costs a fuck ton

Wait for a cold housing market to buy land.

Prepare to be horrified.
Dollar cost average over a year or two into a stock index of your choice (ASX, SPX, Global), cash dividend checks, keep your day job, thank me later.
Property - talk to someone in the biz. Taxes, negative gearing, upkeep, etc is all a huge pain in the ass to forecast, especially if you're looking to invest/lease out space.

this. Huge housing bubble right now, just wait.
However, there will also be a banking failure at some point, so you may want to think about gold or bitcoin instead of cash in the bank.

Btc is best bet. If looking for short-medium gains, I recommend investing in Iconomi coin. Its the Forex of cryptos. Eth is shit.

Aww man bless that little girl. I wish I could just hug her. Damn man, lets feel blessed for once in a fucking while.
Also congrats OP

congrats fellow nzbro. Can you tell us anything about your game?
With 2 million you can probably go to a bank and ask for an interest rate of about 4.5% p.a. which would be $90,000 income before tax. Probably your safest option atm I think
Otherwise start a long-term growth fund in the stock market
